Terms of Use
The terms on which Crystal Heights International School offers this website and the CrystalEDU app.
Who these terms are with
Crystal Heights International School, at Shikpontele, Amasaman, opposite China Mall, Accra, Ghana. Reach us on +233 26 471 2272 or info@crystalheights.edu.gh. They cover this website and the CrystalEDU app. Using either means accepting them.
What this website is
A description of the school, kept as accurate as we can make it. Fees, term dates, results and curriculum details change. What is written here is right at the time of writing and is not an offer or a contract. Before you rely on a figure or a date, ask the office and let us confirm it in writing. Sending an enquiry or booking a tour does not enrol a child, and does not hold a place.
Admissions
Applying is not being accepted. A place exists when the school has offered it to you in writing and you have accepted it on the school's terms. The school decides admissions, and is not obliged to give reasons for a decision.
Who may use the app
The app is for parents and guardians the school holds on its own records against a child on its roll. You sign in with the phone number the school holds for you. If that number is wrong or has changed, the office changes it — the app cannot, because the school's record is the record.
Your PIN and your phone
Keep your PIN to yourself. Anyone who can open your app can see your child's information and can show a gate pass in your name. If you lose your phone, sign that device out from another one under Account, or telephone the office and we will do it. Signing a device out erases everything the app held on it. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has been using your account.
The gate pass
A pass identifies an adult the school has authorised to collect a child. It is not proof of who is holding the phone. Do not hand your phone, or a one-time code, to somebody the school has not authorised. The school may refuse to release a child to anyone it cannot identify, and that decision is the school's. A pass shown at the gate is checked against the school's own record of who may collect that child. The record decides, not the screen.
Fees and payments
What the app shows is what the school's books show. A payment you start in the app is taken by a payment provider on its own page, under its own terms. The school records the payment when the provider confirms it, which is not always the moment your money moves. If money has left your account and the app does not show it, telephone the office. Do not pay again. The app will not take a payment it cannot confirm. If your phone has no signal it says so and refuses, rather than queueing a payment you would have no answer about.
What the school publishes in the app
Photographs, stories, notices and marks are the school's, and are for you. Do not repost a photograph or a report that shows another family's child. Class spaces are for the families of that class. What is said there should be what you would say at the school gate.
What the app is not
It is not a way to reach the school in an emergency. In an emergency, telephone the school. It is not a substitute for the school's own records. Where the app and the office disagree, the office is right, and we would like to know about it. A phone, a network, a power cut or an app update can all stop it working. The school will keep it running as well as it reasonably can, and does not promise it will always be available.
The school's material
The words, photographs, crest and name on this website and in the app belong to the school, or to the people who made them for the school. You may read them, print them and share a link. Do not republish them commercially without asking. Where this site links to somebody else's, we do not control what is there.
If we have to suspend an account
The school may suspend access where an account is being used to harm a child, to harass staff or another family, or where it is no longer held by a parent or guardian of a child on the roll. Where we can tell you why, we will.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version appears here with the date it took effect, and the app tells you the next time you open it.
